Provides both the contractor and the project owner protection against accidents, damage or loss of materials and works in progress, and construction equipment and machinery losses.

There are four types of coverage’s:

Contractor’s All Risk Insurance (CAR)

Basically property insurance with extended third party liability cover. It insures civil works or project during the course of construction against sudden and unforeseen loss or damage occurring within the period of cover. It also insures against liability of the insured to third party resulting from the construction activities and happening within the immediate vicinity of the construction site.

Erection All Risk Insurance (EAR)

This provides insurance for buildings and civil engineering projects during the process of installation and erection. As with the CAR Insurance, the same coverage’s apply to the EAR insurance.

Machinery Breakdown Insurance (MBI)

This is insurance for machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment against breakdowns due to causes such as defects in casting and material, faulty design, faults at workmanship, lack of skill or carelessness, sabotage, shortage of water in boilers, physical explosion, tearing apart on account of centrifugal force and short circuit.

Electronic Equipment Insurance (EEI)

This insurance policy protects you against loss and damage to the specialized electronic equipment such as computer, including x-ray machines, communication facilities, computerized process equipment and teller machines.
